Honduras — Pacayal Honey Process Coffee

honey processed, organic, fair trade

We're still getting to know this coffee, but it's been giving us slightly tart floral aromas & ripe black cherry-ish flavors these days. Almost like lingering smells from a spice shop visited a couple of hours ago, but still welcomingly hanging out on  clothing.

Honduras has had a hard go of it in the past, and in this season particularly. We wanted to support their endeavors of still growing tasty varietals during trying times, at a more balanced wage than available via other sourcers. This is a communal coffee effort from the La Paz region, grown between 1,500-1,700m in elevation. After a 12 hour fermentation, the coffee is dried and processed waterlessly, which is a more environmentally beneficial route.

Want to send some to a friend, maybe share some apart together? Get an additional one or two bags and put their name and shipping address, and what you'd like to send to them in the notes on checkout. Always happy to encourage humans sharing experiences with each other.

*We usually ship anything that can fit into a USPS flat-rate package. Ex: Sending out two full bags costs the same as shipping one, and we can fit up to four, 6 oz. sample bags together, all for about $8.50.
