Colombia — Hugo Melo Coffee

This coffee offers some velvety caramel, candied citrus and cozy smells that make us close our eyes as we inhale. Also reminds us of driving by that coffeeshop on the corner with the window down on a warm, partly sunny day.

Currently offering this single origin coffee from Hugo Melo in Colombia. It is a new anaerobically fermented coffee we’re getting to know. Although we (still) have the urge to roast 60 lbs before letting anyone try it, that doesn’t sound like an invitation to explore together. Hugo is a guy on a small farm, doing good things with his family and getting paid well by the supportive suppliers we found it through. The coffee industry is usually pretty rough for the people producing the beans, and trying to vote for betterness where we can.

Small batch, medium roast and something we like to drink ourselves, so want to share. Perfect Enough for anyway you want to prepare it. Bags for yourself and maybe some others to leave on a friend's porch are delightfully encouraged.*

Want to send some to a friend, maybe share some apart "together"? Put their name and shipping address, and what you'd like to send to them in the notes on checkout. Always happy to encourage humans sharing experiences with each other.

*We usually ship anything that can fit into a USPS flat-rate package. Ex: Sending out two full bags costs the same as shipping one, and we can fit up to four, 6 oz. sample bags together, all for about $8.50.
